But she didn’t stop there! Joyce set her sights on a challenge: walking nearly 200 miles along the Camino Portuguese 🗺️.
In just 12 days, she and her lifelong friend Connie trekked through 2 countries and 13 cities, arriving at their final destination on June 19, 2023 🌍. It was a journey filled with breathtaking coastlines, delicious food (especially the fresh seafood! 🦞), and the warmth of friendly people they met along the way. Connie’s mantra, "Walk, eat, sleep, repeat," became their guiding light, keeping them focused and determined to reach the finish line.
Joyce credits her success to all the hard work we put into training 🏋️♀️. She felt strong every step of the way, ready to conquer the challenges of different terrains and misdirection.
